The HPE H240ar Smart Host Bus Adapter (HBA) is a 2X4 internal ports flexible Smart HBA for DL360, DL380 and ML350 Gen9 servers which provide users with the flexibility and speed they expect. The H240ar Smart HBA is ideal for internal connectivity to Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) and Solid State Drives (SSDs) that provides support for 12 Gb/s SAS and 6 Gb/s SATA HDDs. H240ar Smart HBA can also provide high performance for SSDs that do not require data protection. This SAS HBA is ideal for driving Cost-Effective and reliable scalability in today's data centers. It can scale internal storage in the servers with the addition of HPE 12G SAS Expander card. It provides flexibility to run in HBA Mode or simple RAID Mode. When operating in simple RAID Mode, it provides RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 5 with optional HPE Secure Encryption capabilities. Unlike the HPE Smart Array Controllers, the H240ar does not support cache modules for acceleration.
